Ross Webber

A former Permanent Secretary of the Bermuda Government and an Insurance Underwriter with ACE and AIG, Ross has 25 years’ experience in the financial & professional services industry. With over a decade as Global Head of Business Development for Conyers, an international law firm, Ross has amassed exceptional contacts in Private Client and Investment Management. Prior to joining Peregrine & Black, Ross was CEO of the Bermuda Business Development Agency. Ross holds an MBA in Financial Risk Management from St John’s University in New York.
Nina Phinn
COO, DIRECTOR
Nina is the Chief Operations Officer. After gaining a degree in Finance & Law, Nina worked for Ernst & Young and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2000. She joined Jupiter Asset Management in Bermuda where she held the role of Director – Fund Accounting and Operations. Nina spent almost 10 years working in Bermuda before returning to London in 2011. In 2015 she became a co-founder of Peregrine & Black Investment Management.
Oliver Pearson Lund
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Oliver started his investment career at Coutts over 20 years ago after leaving university with a degree in Business Studies and Accountancy. After gaining his investment qualifications he then moved to Invesco Perpetual as Investment Director. In 2009 Oliver joined Jupiter Asset Management and then in 2015 Oliver became a co-founder of Peregrine & Black Investment Management. Oliver is an associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, a member of the Securities Institute and the CFA Institute.
Phil Gent
CEO, INVESTMENT DIRECTOR
Philip has been in the investment industry since the 1980’s and has worked with the same investment team for over 20 years, initially as an equity analyst and then as a private client portfolio manager for individuals, trusts, charities and corporate clients in the UK, Bermuda and the Caribbean. He previously worked at Jupiter Asset Management, where he spent 6 years and then became a co-founder of Peregrine & Black Investment Management following the sale of Jupiter’s Private Client division in 2014. Philip is a member of the Securities Institute, an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals and a member of the CFA Institute.
Karl Thompson
DIRECTOR
After gaining a first class honours degree at university, Karl started his investment career with J.M Finn & Co. He moved over to the trading side to work as a market maker for IFX Markets. Karl left to set up and run the private client stock broking desk at Mint/BGC.
In 2012 Karl founded Peregrine & Black with Patrick Bullman offering bespoke stockbroking services to professional and institutional clients. Karl became a co-founder of Peregrine & Black Investment management in 2015 and is a director of the business.

Patrick has over 20 years experience working in bond, equity and CFD markets as a broker. He founded Peregrine & Black Capital in 2012 and became a director of Peregrine & Black Investment Management in 2015.
