Graham Withers Promoted to Managing Director

After nearly 32 years managing clients and investments (the first 25 years at Rathbones and then 6 years with PBIM),  industry veteran Graham Withers is moving "upstairs" to the newly created role of Managing Director at Peregrine & Black.

Chief Executive Phil Gent explains: "PBIM is in a very pleasing "growth" phase which has seen the business and investment team expand significantly over the past 12 months. We have doubled the number of investment managers and further bolstered our financial planning arm." Liz Kunzler, Simon Burton & Veronique Morel-Kane (from Raymond James), Harry Coles (ex-Rathbones), Chris Ling (Fowler Drew), Ian Marsden (Oberon), Tom Noyes-Lewis (SJP) and Chris Wicks (Bridgwater) have all joined the Mayfair-based boutique in recent times.

"We have been delighted that in a world of homogenised portfolios and one-size fits all investment management, our genuinely bespoke offering and entrepreneurial spirit continues to attract like-minded people who share our philosophy," said Gent.

Withers added: "It has been exciting to play my part in the upward trajectory of PBIM as Head of Discretionary Management, but with this growth there is now a need for someone (me) to focus on the management element of PBIM and I look forward to assuming full responsibility for the client, investment, regulatory and training infrastructure of the business."

"My new role will see me become the proverbial 'poacher turned gamekeeper' and I cannot wait to get started".
